here comes the bronchiosaurus

I’ve had the flu since Wednesday. I’ve been doped up on everything under the sun and made it through work.

Saturday, my fever reached a near 102, and I was reportedly talking nonsense in my sleep by my family. I had major chills, so I made myself into a burrito with all the blankets on my bed….so I’m sure my temperature was at the level of experinencing delirium.

Making perfect timing for the start of the semester, that darn pesky cough has been getting on my nerves, and again all those meds in the cabinet were not working.

So, my flu is gone. What I have in bronchitis.

I have prescription meds, which I’ve had for a couple days in my system now. I haven’t experienced anything yet and it is extremely aggravating. I mean, coughing and hacking-up nothing is driving me nuts now. I can only talk little baby steps until my lungs grab and produce a loud, unproductive cough. Plus I look like I’m stoned with all the broken vessels I have. My ribs hurt, so my baby steps are nicely taken with me standing hunched over.

I’ve decided to call myself the bronchiosaurus. Mainly because of my dinosaur-like stance, and my post-cough yowl. *cough-cough, grrooooooooooooooowl!*

Hopefully, the meds start working soon. I really want to get back into my writing, now that I have the time. I have a few reviews to finish…and I came up with the idea of a great short story!

Guess you just have to wait it out.
