resolutions with a purpose

The new year is here, and with that goes resolutions. I usually don’t make them, or if I do, they’re usually broken seconds after making them. What makes this year so different is that I’m really trying to finish my manuscript which is nagging me to get done. Plus, I have so many projects and things that I want to finish as well as start focusing on grad school.

I have three more weeks until I leave my job to start school. I’m just taking some random classes at the local college, just to clear things up. I need the time to figure out where I want to go to do my grad work, what I want to get a degree in (M.Ed in English? Plain ol’ English or an MFA in Creative Writing?), and get morer writing experience done. This is my fluff semester. Even though I’ll be back at school, it seems like a welcome vacation to me.

So, resolutions!!

This is what I plan to do in ‘09.

*finish Flour City Blues

*ace my classes

*stay abreast, up-to-date on music news/releases and write reviews like crazy
*search for schools and start sending applications

*continue to save my money for school
*look for other websites/places to write for

*work on FCB sequel, because it looks as if there might be one…….
*not be afraid to take chances

That seems to be it. I have a lot to work on this year, hoping its my luckiest yet.
